WITH SADNESS we announce the death of Mary Power. Her funeral will take place on Wednesday 1st February at 11.00am. We offer our sympathy and prayers to her family and friends.
ANNUAL MASS in honour of Our Lady of Lourdes, in the Cathedral on Saturday 11th February 2012 at 2.00 pm. Since this year, in Lourdes, is the Year of the Rosary, Archbishop Vincent will bless all Rosaries at the end of the Mass.
CONFIRMATION 2012. The next Session for all the Candidates will be on Wednesday 1st February at 7.30pm in the Parish Hall. The RITE OF ACCEPTANCE will take place on SATURDAY 4th FEBRUARY at the 5.30pm Mass. It is important that parents and sponsors attend this Mass. Please keep the candidates and their families in your prayers.
DAY OF RECOLLECTION: Run by the Ten Ten Theatre Group. On SATURDAY 4th FEBRUARY at English Martyrs [Wembley2] from 10am to 5pm.
ALTAR SERVERS: Enrolment of Servers into the Guild of St. Stephen will take place on Sunday 12th February at the 11.30am Mass.
VALENTINE’S DAY FAMILY DISCO: Sunday 12th February, from 1.00pm onwards in the Parish Hall. Bring your own food and drink. Donations for Raffle gladly appreciated. Tickets: £2.50 per child [children must be accompanied by an adult]. Tickets on sale after Mass.
FRIENDS OF PRESTON LIBRARY: Are holding a general meeting about the future of the Library on Tuesday 31st January at 7.30pm in the Parish Hall. All are welcome.
DIVINE MERCY PRAYERS: Monday to Friday between 3.00pm-
ST. JOSEPH’S JUNIOR SCHOOL, WEMBLEY: The children in year 4 are currently learning about children in World War 2. On the 2nd of February at 2pm we are inviting people who were alive at this time to share their memories and a cup of tea (and cake) with the children.
